I vaguelly remember quite some time ago we were alerted to the fact that new glass bottles/jars/containers could be adulterated with impurities.The suggestion was to go to garage/carport/flea-market sales where there may be OLD glass jars for sale. I was able to hang onto some old 1 and 1/2 gallon jugs at least 50 years old which are serving me nicely for storing.My brewing jars are at least twenty years old. This may answer why some of you are having some difficulty with different batches.ie colors.
