MaryAnn,

Since both citric acid and ionic silver are effective biocides I see no
harm in it. I don't know if the citric acid would somehow react with the
silver, but I doubt it.

  Subject: CS>Disinfectant for EHV-1

Folks -- I'm curious about this. What would the result be of combining ionic
silver and citric acid, per the following ad:
  MA

Note the following about ionic silver being advertised to kill EHV-1:

"The active ingredients in PureGreen24 are ionic silver and citric acid,
making this a powerful disinfectant, fungicide and virucide. Following strict
EPA protocols, it has been tested against many different viruses, bacteria and
fungi," states Alexandra Cherubini, President and Founder of EquiFit, inc.
"Specifically; it's been shown to effectively kill many viruses, including
Herpes Simplex, HIV, Influenza, Norovirus, and Rhinovirus. "

This is a topical solution for water buckets, etc. I don't have a link
