Hi all, A FOAF (friend of a friend) whom shall remain nameless, is taking their minor child to the doctor's for diagnosis and possible treatment for something that *could* be a significant condition.
They were expressing their fears that they might not be able to safely ignore the doc's recommendations if they chose to pursue alternative therapies instead. They were worried that, if the condition turned out to be life-threatening, they would be forced to accept treatment or face charges of child neglect, etc... How do you maintain your freedom of choice in situations like this? Any anecdotes or personal experiences you have to share would be appreciated, since I really had no advice to give them. I don't think we'll want to turn this into a lengthy discussion, but certainly it might be of interest to others. So either posting or private e-mail would be fine. Thank you, Mike D.
