Hi Ken and others,

I brewed cs today. In the instruction you gave, it indicated that it would stop automatically when it sensed enough particles present in the distilled water. My machine has been running for 12 hours and did not stop in spite of a TDS machine (not a Hanna meter) reading of 8. Why didn't it stop? Should the TDS reading be higher to stop?

## It will shut down when it senses enough *IONs*
Meters can't detect non conductive particles and there are many environmental variables that control their formation..out of the ions. If there is something going on that's making particles out of ions at a faster rate than normal [usually water contaminants] the machine will keep going till all those contaminants are used up. If the water is extremely pure, it can take several hours to build up enough concentration of conductive ions to pull the full current.

Another question, should i multiply the TDS reading by 2 to get the proper ppm?

## A TDS meter reading of 8 would be around 16 uS [conductivity] and the gen shuts down at around 20 uS

Does the CS mess with the DNA of the user? I came across a write up about CS changing DNA.

## I doubt it. There is almost as much negative "parrot propaganda" out there as there is positive.

Thanks

Melly.
