At the microelectricitygermkiller Group at Yahoo Groups in the files
section you will find a downloadable copy of "The Desideratum" by John Wesley,
the founder of Methodism. That religion is known for its humanitarian slant,
as was Wesley himself. No one will call Wesley a liar, regardless of what you
think of his religion or religion in general. From page 42 or 43 thru pg. 75
or so you will find experiences regarding healing. These are experiences that
Wesley himself or people of whose character he had full confidence had
witnessed. Electricity was still a party game during which charged Leyden jars
were discharged in a line of people all at once. Was lots of fun and caused
quite a stir. Then folks started getting well from all sorts of maladies.
Wesley investigated and wound up establishing 2 to 4 (depending on the source)
free clinics for the poor in London. A short read and a fascinating one. The
pages are about 1/4 of what they are
now, or less. Dates to around 1760 so it's in older English, but still easily
read. pj
