In a routine cat scan following a non-injury auto accident yesterday, it was discovered that my brother has a *mass* on one of his kidneys. The ER doc told him to see an oncologist or nephrologist immediately. The message is very clear. I've been doing research this morning on the internet and what I'm reading is not encouraging. Survival rates for renal cell carcinoma are very bleak. Surgery is of course called for. Radiation and chemotherapy do not influence survival rate. I'm thinking he has just as good a chance of dealing with this alternatively.
Does anyone have any ideas, advice, suggestions................. MA
