Hi There Jane that is exactly what I got from my google search, which  
is what prompted me to ask the question - the product uses peroxide  
for whitening the teeth which would in my book create a contra-action  
between the ingredients seeing as how peroxide damages the tissue of  
the skin, being in this case
the gums, however seeing as how I am not trained in all of this, I  
wanted to get a second opinion - thanks
