Initially we used a 50/50 mixture of Silver Lightning and some aloe vera gel from a drug store. That worked quite well, but I did not like the sodium benzoate they had added to the AV. We later experimented with aloe vera powder added to 10 PPM CS to give 100% of both CS and AV, with the idea of making it a product to sell. It is not available as yet. We found that adding sufficient baking soda to bring the pH up to 7 improved the stability, but the effectiveness was good both with and without the BS if used within a few days of making it. We just rubbed it on, and let it dry before putting anything absorbant over it, such as a shirt if it was on the back.
