Does anyone know if liquid iodine can be stored in plastic? I bought some Lugols a couple years ago and the container and dropper is a thick plastic. When left in the medicine cabinet in a very cool part of the house, it evaporated from the bottle and stained the inside of the cabinet orange. Afterwards I stored the Lugols bottle inside a glass jar with the top on the jar. The bathroom still has the smell although there is no sign of staining anywhere.
