My son had wonderful success treating his boils with only 2 five minute sessions with a 'godzilla' zapper. This is merely a 6 volt battery lantern connected to a couple sponges via wires.
He applied the moist sponges so that the electricity flowed through the boil for about 5 minutes. Repeated it a day later. Two days after that he went to do another treatment, but the boil was completely gone. You can find out out all you need to know about this by joining the yahoo group micro-electricity germkiller.
