I don't know about most people, but I'm using 1/4 oz. strips sawn
from 1 oz. ingots, approx. 1/4" wide by 1/8" thick by 2" long,
with about 1 1/4" immersed. I've made several gallons and the
embossings have gotten a bit softer around the edges, but it
looks like they'll last half a lifetime at this rate.
