They have a fairly new product here made from Olives as an emulsifier in cream manufacture - which means you can add non oil based ingredients and make it more "creamy" - olive oil and VCO just disappears into my skin or hair but VCO does set so hard I thought too much Lavender Oil would be needed to make it creamy enough for a baby's skin ----- Original Message ----- From: PTFerrance To: [email protected] Sent: Wednesday, May 30, 2012 11:14 PM Subject: RE: CS>Diaper Rash
Hi Jane, I would imagine more coconut oil and less beeswax. Since coconut oil is readily absorbed I would think the beeswax is in there to give it some staying power as well as being a moisture barrier. Coconut oil is a poor moisture barrier for me. I am even thinking about adding a little lanolin/cocoa butter since they are so healing. Thanks again, Melly. How could I make it "creamier"? Jane ----- Original Message ----- From: PTFerrance To: [email protected] Sent: Wednesday, May 30, 2012 1:30 PM Subject: RE: CS>Diaper Rash Thanks, Melly. I'll give it a try. Melt the beeswax, not much, just enough to make the coconut oil creamy, then add the coconut oil, stirring vigorously until well mixed, then wait until it gets cloudy, and then add some lavander oil. You may also add some lavander oil in the container before transferring the cream. This is great for diaper rash. Some disappear overnight including redness and rash. I make this cream and it is good for burns, sun burns, wounds, facial cream, moisturizer, etc. Melly No virus found in this message.
