I actually used two different brands of NAC drops for a long time. They
didn't work for me either, though I think they may have slowed down
progression of the cataracts to some extent.

has an inert ingredient (n-acetyl-carnosine) that gets into the eye and does
the job. Apparently taking ALC orally it won't get to the eye.
