    Where I live in So. Cal tomatoes grown in Mexico are awful, even the
organic heirloom variety.  Tomatoes grown locally are still good although
more difficult to find.

I think our tomatoes have been in trouble for quite some time. I don't know
if it is GMO  or what, but even the organic tomatoes in all the stores in my
area, and there are a lot here, all of the tomatoes have no flavor. No
flavor at all. Pretty, look good, but no flavor.

I no longer buy them because they add nothing to a salad or to anything
else: they have no taste. And the color is not enough.
