For those of you who take this type of bulk gelatin, which type seems
to work best?

Is there any difference between the two types of gelatin as to taste
and/or effectiveness?
Dan,
I use Great Lakes, both the collagen hydrolysate and the porcine non-hydrolyzed gelatin. I don't get the bulk packaging, because I don't like dealing with 10 lb bags of stuff.

Both are fine so far as I know, I use as a source of protein. I couldn't find the original email and too lazy to go to archives, so I hope this is what you are talking about: the hydrolyzed collagen does NOT GEL. The gelatin does. Collagen dissolves in cold or hot liquids. Gelatin needs to be softened in a cold liquid before heating to dissolve it. sol
