You can dilute DMSO to the desired strength with distilled water, but I always use my EIS. I mean, why not? Just in case there is any infectious process going on. The EIS can't hurt even if there isn't any infection of any kind. How much DMSO to use is individual. In general use it weaker above the waist, most people tolerate stronger on legs, knees, feet. I generally keep roll on bottles of DMSO diluted in EIS on hand for any immediate need. I make that about 30% DMSO.
