Hi Dee,

On the surface, you could be right, but when you consider that most cold
symptoms are actually indications of immune response, rising to the body's
defense, the oil of oregano may have spurred a more intense immune reaction,
that has reduced the damages of the cold.

I have Lyme disease, and haven't 'had a cold' for years, but actually my body
hasn't been able to respond to cold virus, making me drag down with general
malaise and fatigue instead. All of the regular, albeit obnoxious, 'symptoms'
we grouse about are actually signs of an an immune system going into overdrive,
doing what it should.

There's a lot more to this than meets the eye or the cultural perception.
Western medicine is all about suppressing 'symptoms' but not necessarily
addressing the underlying causes of real illness.

Be well,
Léna
