Hi Ode and Marshall, The medics use a conductive electrode gel with silver/silverchloride . This is used for longterm connection called resting electrodes. I used them a lot for the Bob Beck type units because they helped to prevent the skin burning which I thought due to a better skin connection. The burns always seemed to be at point contacts.
