Your son has recently had surgery? I understand you said that the culture done at the time of surgery showed no bacterial infection but... that doesn't mean he may not have picked up a bug during his hospital stay/surgery, right?
Does the surgeon know he is having this problem? I am not a big fan of mainstream medicine but sometimes ya gotta do whatcha gotta do and I would definetly have him checked out, if for no other reason, so that you know what you are dealing with. Is it strictly inflammation or is it a drug-resistant bacterium? Only the doctor may be able to tell you. I wouldn't fool around with it for long. :) Lola H.
