Just to clarify: Yes, Google and other search engines index the mail-archive for the silver-list. We've had archives off and on for years now. The current one has been up and running successfully for several years now, and contains almost every post ever made to the list since it started.
In addition, realize that there are about 800 members, any of which may or may not be trustworthy. One should never post anything anywhere with the assumption that it will not be seen by the public.
