I found this data very interesting, considering that some estimates show
that about 40% of the population cannot convert folic acid into folate. This
means that no matter how many leafy greens you eat, you're not getting
enough folate in your system. Folate is so important that pregnant women are
now routinely told to take folic acid daily. (However, this recommendation
does not take into account the inability to convert.) The B6 and B12 work in
conjunction with the folate.
