Which would then fit into the holes in my lid just fine.  Then, as long
as I keep the ss-wire above the water level, everything would be fine. 
Right?  And the bored hole is on one of the narrow edges, straight into
the heart of the ingot?

Heh - hate to waste the bored-out silver shavings, tho.  Wonder what I
could do w/ the remainders? <g>  (no "Lone Ranger bullet" jokes!  lol)
