I've always understood lead is in all crystal glassware, quantity dependant on manufacturer.
I brewed a batch in a crystal jug years ago and it turned tea coloured in a very short time. I assumed electrolysis of the silver interacted with the lead in the crystal? Was always going to repeat the exercise to satisfy myself one way or tuther, but never have. N.
