If using DC on the electrodes and don't want to oversaturate areas of
water or leave a mirror on the bottom...yes.
If using polarity switching..works pretty good without stirring if most of
the water is near electrode surfaces, but a stirrer still does nice things.

Periodic Ion directional change does do some stirring, not much but
generally enough and natural convection and Brownian motion contributes
some...but you still want ALL the water to get between the electrodes
eventually.

...could just poke a stick in there and give it a twirl now and then.

Is a stirrer of mixer necessary?

Hi Ode,
True to form, you kindly share info: not for profit and sales, but simply to be of help.
I haven't used the other two generators you listed first; I know they have
excellent reviews.Â

I can only add my review of the Silver Puppy, which has served me well for
YEARS! It's easy, Lymie-brain-proof and makes excellent product. This last
week was proof of that, after we were exposed to a beloved little child
with a virulent URI. I dosed an oz. of CS at regular intervals, nebulized it into my lungs, and misted it up my nose whenever I felt any stuffiness or pressure. My husband, who was much less diligent, did it 'sometimes'.
I'm fine, and he's counting out the days of a classic cold.

Why suffer if you have a Silver Puppy at your service?

Be well,
Léna

It that the huge black box of junk  that's sealed under threat of
warrantee violation so no one can see what's in it? [which BTW , can be circumvented with a heat gun ]
What's in it is a small transformer, a rectifier bridge, a capacitor,
[all to get DC from AC wall power] a partly dismantled Walmart fish tank air pump, an LED and a resistor that limits current to 40 milliamps
which is only good to prevent fires should the electrodes get shorted out.
No more process control than a "3 nines"Â generator or a $15 DC wall power supply in a tiny fish tank.

Bubblers will mix everything that's in the air into your batch.

If you want spend money, better  than most of the other pricey  glitzy
website units [likely more marketing 'spit and polish' than actual
functional product, but at least it's functional and not 98% BSÂ ]

Lab stirrers [aka magnetic stirrers] have no interface with water vapors
that can eventually corrode motor bearings.

..avoid anyone that sells you your own fears or tries to manipulate your
emotions as a sales tactic.

Can the group advise where to buy a generator with a built in bubbler. I found one for over $200.00 thought that was too steep. Got a friend
in the west coast really wanting to make her own...I trust your
opinions here and want her to get a good deal on something that is easy to use.

Thanks in advance,

Debbie
