Thyme oil is about the  only thing I've  found that will help with
the  mange mites.
Mixed with good quality turpintine would be smelly but non toxic and strobg.
I've been told that  some strains of mange is almost imposssible to
eliminate because they live in the soil and  the animals  just keep
getting reinfested. anyone around cattle or wild animal paths will
pick it up.
