That's because Thunderbird doesn't handle the MIME digest format used by the list software very elegantly. Some mail reader software recognizes that format as an e-mail digest and presents you with the list of posts as if it was a message folder, but not all. The best alternative is to unsubscribe from the digest and subscribe to the normal one-at-a-time list distribution, then set up a message filter to sort incoming mail with the string CS> in the Subject line into its own separate message folder. Put 'thunderbird message filter' into your favorite search engine and you'll come up with instructions for doing that. If you get hung up on the way, let us know!
