My husband soaks the distiller overnight with 6% distilled vinegar and adds baking soda to it. It would bubble so be careful, it could spill over. The following morning if there is any residue left, most of the time very tiny bits, he would use a long brush with long bristles at the end, and coiled brush on the main body which he bought from Harbor Freight. I believe that is used for oil changing. Another favorite brush is the ultra soft bottle brush he bought at Dollar Store. It does not take long to scrub away. Before this, he has a hard time getting rid of those hard calcifications left on the stainless steel boiler pot. This is hard to clean because the heating element is in the pot too. Now he does it very easily. Melly
