This is off the topic of CS but here goes...I have some Canadian money-both 
coins and currency- from a visit 13 years ago. There is no place in my city to 
exchange this for US money. Yes I have tried the airport. Any ideas on how to 
get this exchanged? Thank you

Just phone the Canadian Mint or send an email and ask if the coins are coated. 
They will tell you.

I'm not sure of anything.  I'm just trying to understand why 
it seems to be coated.
