I'd be interested in looking into that perspective. I've never heard of citric acids being toxic. For example, many people take products like magnesium citrate for increased adsorption of magnesium.

Citric acid is also one of the primary components of things like lemons which aids in digestion and helps liver cleansing.

...while I doubt I'll personally ever have a need to use it internally, it is a very interesting silver compound.

I've been told citrate and citric acid are extremely toxic.
