PT... it really doesn't matter if it is vintage or not. The poster said the
bowl had 'solid brass... made in India' stamped on it. They could have had it
for 20 - 30 yrs so they would knowit was old. It can also look very used/old.
It would still fit the purpose. I would be moreconcerned that it might have a
lacquer finish on it. Some do. If sellers on Ebay misrepresent an item, they
can get kicked off of Ebay. Also if they get negative reviews, no one will
buy from them. It is a pretty good system. Lola

I wonder how they know it is vintage and not a reproduction made to look like
it.PT

Good idea, Lena. Here is one on Ebay... marked solid brass. Probablyplenty of
others on Ebay. Careful.. sometimes they have lacquer on
them.Lolahttp://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Hammered-Solid-Brass-Foot-Nut-Bowl-or-Dish-/361255839785?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item541c86a829

import shops, especially shops with brassware from India. There could be
different alloys, though, not all of them pure brass, so be careful. For
instance, the singing bowls of Tibet (pricey) are made with 7 different metals
to empower the sound. LOn Apr 6, 2015, at 5:21 PM, PT Ferrance wrote:Where does
