Dimethylsulfoxide is an 'industrial' solvent which enables one to deliver all sorts of good stuff to the body transdermally. Google it: lots of interesting articles and a few caveats. I've even added a couple drops to my CS for eye drops when I had uveitis and they cleared it in record time. A good probiotic while using abx is kefir. I give a bit to my dog every day, especially now while he's on abx for some stitches. And for the past couple of years, he only drinks CS.
