Dr. Russell Blaylock, MD says that regular milk thistle is not well absorbed, but that Silyphos, another formulation of milk thistle (which you can get at health food stores and on Amazon) works much better. I just started taking it a couple of weeks ago.

Thanks Jean I have been taking the milk thistle, colloidal silver with drops of hydrogen peroxide, selenium, tea from burdock and dandelion. Not junk food or drink of anykind too.

Hi Debbie,

I have no advice but if I heard the word liver, it would immediately bring to mind milk thistle, for it is reputed to prevent, stop and reverse liver damage.

My stepfather had a heart transplant (early guinea pig), and when they had exhausted every experimental drug they could think of, they told him, You can die in the hospital or die at home. He chose home and when I found out his liver had failed (to filter any more drugs), went straight to the herb books and read milk thistle nearly every other word. I put some milk thistle seeds in capsules for him. He told me on the 3rd day, I think I’m going to live; and he did. It’s best to end the story here.
