Try washing everything (glassware, electrodes, stirrers, etc) out well with hydrogen peroxide and white paper towels. Rinse at least three times with distilled water. Don't leave any hydrogen peroxide behind. Do not use any soap or cleaner and don't contaminate it with your hands. (Easier said than done) Then try making your EIS. You may have to make one or two batches before it comes out OK.
