My friend had malaria from being in the WW II and would get all the symptoms 
mentioned below. He took quinine, which is quite dangerous, and can cause 
deafness and blindness (which he did get near the end of his life). Malaria 
recurred every month or two, despite the fact that he took dangerous quinine 
(as many, many war veterans did).  His problems were all the same things you 
have listed, plus fever.

I remembered Chinese Artemisia, so I got some from a Chinese herbalist. Any 
time my friend felt the slightest tinge of malaria, he took artemisia and 
eventually, malaria was gone from his body and he didn’t get it again. I’m sure 
you can get it online.
It tends to be bitter. Also, it is often sold as a bedding plant because it is 
quite delicate and pretty.
