I appreciate your instructions. I have always told my iphone not to "share my 
location."

 

Here is my concern: TechRepublic reports that according to a 2018 study by 
Princeton University researchers, a smartphone can be tracked even if the GPS 
and location services are turned off.

  Apple was granted a patent for this about five years ago.
