pandemic. Those of us on one side of it cannot understand the people on the 
other side of it. We’re not even asking how they got there;
we’re just assuming they are stupid.”

Anyway, it’s great article on how people think.

There is an old saying that you can discuss anything but politics and religion, 
so that might be something to be mindful of: how many of us tend to double down 
on our commitments to our belief systems.  If someone disagrees with us, then 
there is a power struggle as each tries to recruit the other person into their 
own special camp. Not a great way to solve problems, nor is it a great way to 
learn anything about the human race/condition.
