When I worked EVERYONE used caps all the time >to send electronic mail (not e-mail) for international business purposes. >But on Bulletin boards and the net everyone HATES caps. Robert, It has been proven that somewhere in grade school you cease reading the characters in words but just recognize the image of a word. The variation in the tops of lower case words is significent and in CAPS very minor, making them harder to differentiate. Cover the bottom of a line of lower case words, you can quickly read it, while you will have problems with UPPER CASE. I believe it is against the law, because of that, to use all upper case in legal documents. Find one in all UC and it is probably a scam they don't want you to understand! I had one from a credit card processor recently and well buried was "THE ENTIRE LEASE AMOUNT IS DUE AS A DEFAULT PAYMENT IF YOU ARE EVER 15 DAYS LATE ON A LEASE PAYMENT"! THEY OF COURSE HAVE THE RIGHT TO DRAFT YOUR BANK ACCOUNT RIGHT THEN! [email protected] -- The silver-list is a moderated forum for discussion of colloidal silver.
