Maybe I missed the explanation, but why are you making cs with solar panels? Certainly the environmental impact of using batteries and the improved performance of using 27 VDC would outweigh the advantages of using solar panels?

I actually have another solar panel to hook up for 30volts.(they're really supposed to put out 15volts) or there about but I worried about the amps. I use plain very hot water with a little of the old batch in it as a starter. I make it in a quart jar with the electrodes about 1 inch apart. I get very little crud on my electrodes and no "strings" of that black stuff but I clean them about every 20 minutes after it starts to work. Hope this is helpful. Nancy
