You can block the line (they run, I believe, North to South and East to West) with a strip of copper wire about a foot wide. I use heavy gauge and just lay it next to the baseboard. For dousing I use a couple of pieces of bent coat hanger through pieces of plastic drinking straw to allow them to easily move. They are "L" shaped about 15 inches long before the bend. Bend so that the "handles" extend just below the bottom of the hand while gripping them. That would leave you about ten inches for the long portion. They should cross after you set your intent to locate negative energy lines. It might help to clear your mind first through a short meditation, or whatever. You simply hold them in each hand and have your elbows pressed against the sides of your body. Try to hold them with your arms as relaxed (as opposed to tense and taut) as possible.
