It is difficult to answer this question. Properly made CS, clear and kept in the dark at room temperature should last months if not years or indefinitely. But exposure to sunlight MAY cause some products to aggregate, as can freezing, exposure to high temperatures, or if they product has a ph less than 7. Product which is cloudy, or anything but clear or light yellow will almost certainly precipitate within days.
