I agree with you Namaste, having used 1.6uS/PPM for years and if we
are wrong, at least we err on the positive side. The one thing I must
question in your testing, is the large decay in PPM you are experiencing!

We employ constant fluid circulation and have just a few % decay!
 Some do report a slight rise in PPM which is possible, but I can not
recall the chemistry involved!

If you are running more then 10 minutes without circulation there is risk
you are producing metallic silver, due to the strong ion cloud between
the electrodes - ever made crystals in a saturated solution before?
Try the H2O2 test (10% in Cs) and see if you get any bubbles in 24 hours!
Best to put it in a clean baggy, so you are not testing for plate-out on your
bottle.
