I've wondered about that too, as we've had several cases in Oregon this year...Very bad bug. Three boys in Seattle were saved by being placed in hyperbaric chamber to get oxygen to the bugs. It worked...they lived. These bugs eat flesh at about 3 inches an hour...the purpose spots spread very quickly. I wonder if high temp, ozonated water, lots of cs, etc all might work.
