Roger, I apologize. Upon looking this up, it is Folic Acid deficit that can cause a burning sensation in the feet.
If the sensation is limited to one foot, and only the heel, I would check into other possibilities, perhaps one of those already brought up by someone else on the list, maybe a bone spur?
