Yes, the alcohol is necessary as a perservative...it prevents bacteria from growing in the bottle. BE SURE AND USE ONLY TWO PELLETS PER BOTTLE. The pellets look small and innocent looking...but DO NOT use more than two per bottle. Hahnemann said not to use more than two. (I used ten once and boy was I sorry!!!!....had a very bad aggravation of all my symptoms that lasted for four days!!) Remember, with homeopathy MORE IS NOT BETTER. M.
