WELCOME TO MY FIRST ANNUAL . . . *** CELEBRATION OF LIVING ***
"IT'S BEEN A YEAR AND I'M PROVING THE MEDICAL COMMUNITY WRONG EVERY DAY" "RUMORS OF MY DEMISE WERE HIGHLY EXAGGERATED." (My apologies to Mark Twain.) One year ago today (after three years of conventional "treatment") the medical community told me that I had come to the end of the road from my non-hodgkins t-cell lymphoma. There was nothing left medically for them to do. To those of you who may be wondering "Who is this guy?" - please excuse my enthusiasm and my intrusion onto your computer screen. I'll be brief, however, I'll warn you - I intend to include you in these celebrations, annually, for the next 50 years or so. (Tell me if you don't want to be kept posted on my survival) You are receiving this because all of you are in my address book, which contains: - Loved ones - Dear friends - Casual acquaintances - Cancer support group comrades - Beginning business contacts - Fellow seekers of recovery and vigorous good health who have been great sources of inspiration and information from some wonderful "lists" - and. . . (quite frankly) some of you whom I've communicated with in the past and can't recall why. Thank all of you for being a part of my life! As a result of my good fortune to survive this Cancer, and the associated "treatment" (for 3 of the 4 years), I am now well enough to have started a web site. The color and texture which you have brought into my being have become a song and I want to sing it forever. There is an energy in us which makes things happen when the paths of other persons touch ours and we have to be there and let it happen. When the time of our particular sunset comes, our things, our accomplishments, won't really matter a great deal. But the clarity and care with which we have loved others will speak with vitality of the great gift of life we have been for each other.
