Carbonated water is highly acidic. I would not take it at the same time as the CS, since acids tend to cause aggregation. I realize the stomach is acid as well, and there has been discussion previously on it's effect on CS. But there is not reason to aggregavate the situation.
Some people believe that high CO2 levels in the blood is unhealthy, and can actually each bones of calcium, but I really don't want to get into that again.
