Hi Diane, What about using CS as the conductive solution at the point of electrode contact.
I have never been certain if saline will interact with CS. Does anyone know definitively? If there is for certain not untward, mix the saline with the CS and treat the irritation while it is being created. On second thought, you are setting up a little electrolysis cell on the skin, and a reaction which might not occur in a simple mix may have some action due to the electrical pulse. Anybody know? The CS alone may be conductive enough, especially with the salt from the skin. I forget the settings on the machine but the current is mild. My only problem with mine is that continued use tends to cause a rash at the electrode points. Beck recommends 2 hour sessions but I was doing well to do 30 minute sessions at a time. You cover the electrodes with cotton cloth to protect the skin and use a saline solution to moisten the a cloth and skin.
