Hi all, I have a (mostly) off-topic question for you all. As with any off-topic request for help, I ask that we post only enough info to answer the first round or two of questions and either let it die or take it to private e-mail.
My wife is thinking about getting allergy shots. She had some twenty years ago that helped to reduce the severity of her allergy symptoms for a good many years. Lately, she's having problems again and has been very uncomfortable. She is known to react to some grasses, trees, mold and mildew. She's usually worst in the spring and early summer (here in SE Michigan). Symptoms are the usual runny nose, congestion, itchy eyes, and manic sneezing. Unlike me she doesn't respond to ragweed. I've asked if she'd consider trying a well chosen alternative protocol if we can find one that looks promising, and she says yes. So, folks, can you point me to things that you have done, or witnessed personally, that have eliminated or greatly improved respiratory allergies? I would appreciate any pointers, particularly information that explains how and why they're supposed to work. Be well, Mike D.
