Janet There is some excellent research showing beneficial effects at 3mg (I assume you meant mg not ml) up to 10mg. HOWEVER these results were from research with these doses on Leghorn chicks and Cotton mice. Quite a bit lighter than most humans I know.
I posted some information in response to Katie's question, here is an excerpt that may partly answer your question: <snip> It is important to take pure (fats removed) Beta Gulcans of the proper molecular size (<1 micron) in high enough doses (therapeutic:approximately 500mg per 50lbs. body wt.; maintenance about 1/4 the therapeutic dose) to have the desired effect. I have an excellent source (I represent the manufacturer) of Beta Glucans that meet the above criterion. These doses have been established by research on humans not mice and chicks. Anyone is encouraged to contact me off list for ordering etc. Thanks, Dave Perkins "enjoy being" email: [email protected] web site: www.betterwayhealth.com ----- Original Message ----- From: Janet Lubart <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Saturday, July 08, 2000 1:03 AM Subject: Re: CS>Fw: CS>What I'm trying for Lyme > Does anyone know or understand the discrepancy and controversy between the > beta glucan companies, doses and prices.
