My CS generator has 3 x 9 volt batteries, an on/off switch, a winky light to show it's working, the silver is .999 , the rods are 1 1/4 inches apart and 4 " long, in parallel.
I follow the instructions which are to put 250ml [about 8 ounces] of distilled water in a glass with clean rods for 20 mins. I use an timer with an alarm. 1. Can I make more than 250 mls at a time? I always seem to be making it! [Friends and family all seem to need it at once.] I seem to be racing back and forwards trying to get to the thing as soon as the timer rings - driving me crazy. 2. What would the time be then? 3. If I made one myself - how would I incorporate a timer and autoswitch off? The one I have looks very easy to copy. [I have a can do anything husband - so I wouldn't even get a look in if I wanted to...] Yes I have made 'gold' CS - but that has been when the temperature has been way over the century or when I heated the water first. One company in Queensland Australia actually sells both clear and gold CS. I must go and look at the gold and see what ppm they are stating when I'm next at the place that sells it.
